Weekly Admirations
I recently stumbled across some really lovely illustrations by Teri who is a designer, illustrator, stylist and crafter at http://thelovelydrawer.com she also has an etsy shop which can be found here
These are a few of my favourite illustrations among many others in the Illustration part of her portfolio. She really is very skilful in many areas of design and her online portfolio and blog shows this.
I will definately be following her blog for more wonderful design updates!

Watercolours
I love using mix media in my work so today has been a watercolour day! I will scan this in and use the painterly floral elements in photoshop combining lovely textures and line work to create the final piece.

Rain Rain Go Away
Hello my soggy friends,
Living in wales really is great, I love the beautiful green countryside, the historic castles, Caerphilly Castle, Castle Coch and Cardiff Castle to name a few. Brecon Beacons has some wonderful walks, mountains, lakes and waterfalls. Wales also has some of the most beautiful beaches in the UK.
I hear a 'but' coming....
BUT all these things would be so much nicer if it didn't rain quite so often! I love going for walks with my little pug friend and she who won't go out in the rain (she is a bit of a pampered madam). Soggy feet are a common occurrence in Wales. Now that I have lived here for a good while I have had the good sense to purchase multiple umbrellas, a good quality rain mac and waterproof boots!
Here's a little illustration for all of you that have been caught out in the rain far too many times.

Weekly Admirations
Hiya Readers,
This week I would like to feature Dawn Bishop. She is a very talented designer specialising in Children's Wear, Print and Stationary. Her character work is adorable and it's great to see the process from initial design idea to final product in the shop. Here are a few designs by Dawn Bishop which I particularly admire....

Hello lovely readers.
Here's a quick drawing of an owl in an autumn colour pallet I did recently. I though it would look great on a tee or perhaps a tote bag. Hope you like it!

Cute Characters
Hello there!
Here are some cute character designs I have been working on recently.
I wanted to create some characters that could be used on children's clothing/bedding or in books. This is just the initial idea. Eventually I will look at putting them in different poses with different backgrounds. I hope you like them. Meet Lolitta and Rufus...

Watercolour Bird and Cherry Blossom
As I was on the theme of cherry blossom with my last botanical design (which is one of my favourite flowers) I have developed a design in watercolour in keeping with this subject matter.
I enjoy using the same subject matter but developing it into different styles
When it comes to design I really do like to get my hands on as many different mediums and ways of working as possible. So I would say that my design style is very versatile which is one of the things that I would like to show you on the Lily Pink Studio blog
I do hope you are enjoying the design updates
Please do contact me if you need a freelancer or would like to buy any of my designs.

Botanical
I am really inspired by botanical prints at the moment. They are featured in a lot of current home magazines. I think they look great as wall art.
I have designed this vintage inspired botanical repeat as a print that would be great for wallpaper

80's Vibes
Here's a print inspired from the era from which I was born. The 80's!
I though that this crazy pattern would look really cool as a print for a silk scarf
Please do inbox me if you are looking for designs such as this. I have recently set up Lily Pink Studio and I am looking for freelance work.
What this space as there are plenty more new designs to come!
Much love

New Logo For Lily Pink Studio
This is the new logo for Lily Pink Studio. It took me a while to design as I really couldn't decide on the fonts and layout. I had the colour pallet worked out straight away though. Got to love a bit of pink!
